The Chinese Consulate in Gothenburg will soon move from a remote area to a busy downtown location. Falun Gong practitioners in Sweden who used to appeal for an end to the persecution at the consulate welcomed the change because it will provide greater opportunities for them to expose the atrocities committed by Jiang Zemin in China to more people.

On September the 4th, Swedish practitioners made their first appeal at the new location prior to the opening of the consulate in order to prepare the environment for successful future appeals. Even though it was a Saturday, the traffic was quite heavy. Weekend shoppers stopped at our site to learn about Falun Gong and the persecution, as well as sign our petition.

In the evening we held a candlelight vigil to commemorate Falun Dafa practitioners who have been persecuted to death for refusing to be forced into renouncing their beliefs.
