Germany: Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong in Northern Germany

During the past few weeks, Falun Gong practitioners held information days in Northern Germany’s Walsrode, Osnabrueck and Osterholz-Scharmbeck. In Walsrode, the practitioners positioned themselves in different areas, including the business district and the popular bird sanctuary to distribute flyers. They also left flyers in the shops. Most of the shop owners and employees were happy to support Falun Dafa so they put the leaflets on the counter or on the shelves.

In Osnabrueck, the streets were crowded with people who were mainly interested in shopping. Large crowds passed the Falun Gong information booth. There were so many people crowded together and being pushed past the booth, that it was almost impossible to talk to anyone or distribute leaflets. Yet large crowds of interested people somehow gathered around the display boards. Many people also came to sign their names on a petition calling for the instigator of the persecution against Falun gong, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, to be brought to justice in a court of law for his crimes of genocide, torture and crimes against humanity. In Osterholz-Scharmbeck, there were also many people who got to learn about Falun Gong and the persecution that is happening in China.
