European Falun Gong Practitioners in Manhattan

We really appreciate all you are doing

Every weekend and other occasions when Falun Gong practitioners from North American have time to come to Manhattan, there will be no train on the main line of the railway, it has happened so many times that we have learnt to take sufficient stuff with us so that we can still hand out materials with information about Falun Gong. Two German Falun Gong practitioners sometimes walk from 107 street to 42nd street; sometimes from 42nd street to China Town on Canal street and try not to miss anyone, we also let everyone know that what we are giving them is Falun Dafa fact clarifying material. Whoever wants to know more about the truth, we will talk to them in three languages i.e. Chinese, English and German. Everyday the Chinese dictator is massacring these three words “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”, and Falun Gong is practicing these three words everyday. See the case of Gao Rongrong which just happened last month, last month alone there were twenty six people persecuted to death.

When we say: we don’t really speak English and that we have come from Germany to appeal to stop the brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners shown in the picture. People will then have more esteems, "Oh! so you are from a place that is so far away!" It can seem how desperate this persecution needs to be stopped. Germans and Americans who speak German will speak to us in German immediately when we tell them our nationality, so that some of them will get to know more about Falun Gong and the reason behind the persecution. When a couple who speak German met us, of which the gentleman is an UN official who met us twice on 42nd street, they stopped to chat to us about Falun Gong.

One day, a fourteen year old African American boy stood up from the his seat on the coach of the underground and solemnly handed over ten dollars to us, it could be seen that he was well prepared and waiting for Dafa practitioners. The rate that people turn their heads to see the banner whilst walking past is very high. Once a twenty year boy and an Asian girl passed us and had walked a good distance away, she turned her head back three times when she walked away and came back ten minutes later to give us some dollars. We told her, Falun Gong has never accepted money or donations, we only call for support for justice. She took away a newspaper. Yesterday again a fourteen year old boy really wanted to give us some money. Two Falun Gong practitioners from Denmark met two fourteen year old Caucasian teenagers at the underground, the teenagers told them: "We really appreciate all you are doing."

These teenagers are so special and so free from vulgarity, they look like the children that have come for Dafa, and also lets us feel there is hope in Manhattan’s future as people are awakening and becoming more supportive.

So many People want the Falun Gong newspapers

What we hear most everywhere is “we have got one. Haven’t you something new?” “Have you got a newspaper with some new content?” “Is it the same content as last week? I don’t need one then.” “I’ll take one when you have something new, I have got this one.”

So many people want to learn the practice

When we regularly pass by many people they will stop us and say: I have read the material, where can I learn the practice? At first we told them every weekend at the Central Park. Later on we found that a lot of them did not just want to learn the practice at weekends, so we told them to search the Falun Dafa New York website. Then later we would prepare some telephone numbers of New York practitioners. Now the numbers have been put on the display boards, no matter what rush the passers-by are in, day and night, no matter how deep they want to talk we will touch the truth, we can tell them the phone numbers immediately.

More people want to talk in depth

When we meet other Falun Gong practitioners while walking along, we will ask them about things that give them the deepest impression, some of them said: now when we start chatting, people do not want to leave, when the last question just finishes, the next question begins, they really want to listen more and more. At times when we two who carry the banner were walking while also sending righteous thought, we suddenly found the person distributing the leaflets was missing, we found out later when we went back the same way to look for her, because the people would not let her go, so she just carried on talking and answering questions patiently. For these five weeks we have formed a rule, that is do not rush, we will not dash to anywhere no matter what time it is, the standard is that to not miss anyone, all the time spent on the journey is to allow people to come to know about Falun Gong and the unlawful persecution taking place. When our feet can not walk any further, we will stop to do the fifth exercise, one of us will distribute leaflets, then carry on walking later. When meeting many white-collar people we know there must be a company unit in the vicinity, we will stop to let everyone see our banner. As soon as the traffic lights turn green, we will hold up the banner to show the drivers. Try your best not to miss anyone, this is our experience of walking a long way. We however do not seek long journeys, for example as soon as we find some underground interchange, or some where busy with main-steam society people, we will stay there and turn again and again in the 360 dimension to show the banner in the appropriate direction, and accommodate the display boards of the torture pictures in four directions to people. When we pass by shops and offices we will also hold up the banners and pictures, so that people inside will know about the truth and the persecution in China. Then turn the banner back to front, people will also read the English: “ Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.”

No matter who they are, once they think: how could Falun Gong be persecuted so brutally? They are choosing their future place. The conscience is calling out, this spirit is saved, the main consciousness is salvaged from the trap set by the old forces.

Of cause this the most frequent sentence we hear. We then tell them to write to any politician, media and organisations that they can think of to stop the persecution immediately. Some people will say to us: you are what I was looking for! Falun Gong is all our families are talking about these days.
