Several years ago I came to know a judge when my relatives were involved in a lawsuit. My sister (who was not a practitioner) and I went to consult him regarding legal issues. In our conversation, I felt the judge looked very kind and honest. When I left, I handed him a leaflet containing the true facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution and asked him to look at it, because it would be good for him.
The next time we met, the judge graciously thanked me. He told me that when the suppression of Falun Gong started on July 20th, 1999, he had participated in it. When Falun Gong books were confiscated, he kept a copy for himself out of curiosity. After reading it over, he didn't think there wa's anything wrong with the book. Still, under the unprecedented pressure of Jiang's regime, and without an environment for cultivation, he never learnt how to do Falun Gong exercises. He knew that one of his neighbours practised Falun Gong but because of his occupation, however, the neighbour did not dare to contact him. He also stayed away from the neighbour for fear of bringing the neighbour any trouble. The judge had been struggling with the dilemma of whether or not to practise. In the end, he gave up on this thought. When he accepted the material I gave him, he was happy and carefully finished reading it. This time we had a long talk, and I told him as much as I could about the truth and about cultivation. He said he was determined to start practising and would not give it up.
Since then, as time has gone on, he has deepened his study and practise. Following Teacher's guidance, he has taken advantage of his work environment and special occupation to rationally carry out the Three Things1 during this special period.
Note:
1. The three things Master Li asked practitioners to do are to study the Fa [the teachings of Falun Dafa], send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth of Falun Dafa and the persecution to the world's people.
