We are a group of eight Finnish practitioners who came to London on January 13th to take part in various activities during the 2005 European Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference. Below are some stories of our experiences during this weekend.
.
Four of us participated in the waist drum practice on January 14th ready for the parade the next day. Some media reporters came to interview us during the practice; they took a lot of notes and some pictures of us for about an hour and a half. At the end of the large-scale parade through central London on January 15th, we sincerely gave our thanks to the policemen who directed the traffic. They said that they should be thanking us!
.
In the afternoon of January 15th a western man came to ask for Video-CDs in Chinese about Falun Gong and the persecution while we were standing in the “the Great Wall of Courage”. He said he had two Chinese friends, who did not know the truth about Falun Gong. Many Chinese people have been deceived by the constant barrage of anti-Falun Gong propaganda that floods China’s state-controlled media. The western man said he will send the VCDs to his Chinese friends.
A number of people watched us practice the Falun Gong exercises and came to ask about their local Falun Gong exercise sites where they can learn the exercises for free.
On January 17th, we went to Chinatown to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and hand out leaflets. There were a number of Chinese passers-by that day. We smiled, said hello to them and handed them leaflets. Some stopped to find out more so we talked to them about the fake self-immolation on Tiananmen Square, which was set up by the Chinese Government, and the lawsuits against Jiang and his cohorts in countries all over the world charging them with Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity. We also told them about the brave practitioners in China who risk their lives to tell people the truth about Falun Gong, and we also talked to them about the tremendous changes that practising Falun Gong has brought to our own health and to society. We spoke from our hearts and they nodded their heads again and again. We told them finally that we believe the time is near when people all over the world will hear about and understand the persecution. We told them we hope that they would tell their friends and families in China the truth. We always heard the same answer: “Yes, we will.”
