On December 5, 2004, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) revealed the 100 most popular books of the year in Australia. Mr. Li Hongzhi's book, Zhuan Falun [the main text of Falun Dafa], the number-one selling book of 1996 in Beijing, China, landed the number 14 spot on the chart. While the rest of the books on the chart were written by Western authors, Zhuan Falun is the only book written by an Asian author.
The list of the 100 most popular books in Australia is determined by a variety of different polls, including telephone surveys, cellular phone text message surveys, and a public poll on ABC's website.
Zhuan Falun is the main study text of Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa. So far, it has been published in more than thirty languages, including traditional Chinese, Mainland Chinese, English, German, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Dutch, Czech, Spanish, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, Indonesian, Hindi, Danish, Burmese, Tibetan, Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Romanian, Slovakian, Albanian, and many other languages.
