Good-byes at the office
When my supervisor at work learnt that I was about to go to New York to inform people about the persecution of Falun Gong, he asked me for information material about this topic. He had a positive attitude and wished me luck.
The flight to New York
During the nine-hour flight from Europe to New York, I had the chance to tell the people sitting on both sides of me about the persecution of Falun Gong. One of them agreed that even from a Christian perspective, every human action provokes a good or bad reaction (retribution) in life and wished me luck and success. He also admired the practitioners who volunteer weeks and months of their time, to explain the truth about the persecution in New York.
An Interview
On my second day in New York, three teenage girls who were visiting New York started to film the torture exhibition in Madison Square and interviewed several practitioners. It was a good opportunity to talk about the situation in China. After a second interview with a representative from the “Sound of Hope” radio station, they left satisfied and told us that they would show the film at their school and would do additional projects about Falun Gong.
On Wall Street
I felt that I wasn’t passing out enough leaflets to people at our information booth and decided to try my luck on my own in Wall Street. The masses of people weren’t too overwhelming there and I recognised the opportunity to concentrate on individuals with my righteous thoughts. Many of them accepted my flyers. I found that as soon as my thoughts were truly righteous, I was also smiling outwardly. I felt that it was best to maintain righteous thoughts and to make eye contact without underlying intentions or expectations. When I changed my serious expression to a smile, I was often rewarded with many hands eagerly reaching for the materials. This confirmed to me again that Master is supporting us.
The Flight Home
When I took my seat in the airplane to go home, I was surprised to find one of the senior managers of my firm seated next to me. Actually, he was supposed to be seated in business class but it had been overbooked. Obviously, it was a great opportunity for me to tell him about the persecution of Falun Gong and the three principles of “Truth, Compassion and Tolerance”. In the end, he accepted a CD and asked me to repeat the three principles for him.
