From 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 11, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Los Angeles County held an anti-torture exhibition in front of the Chinese Consulate and reenacted the inhuman torture of Falun Gong practitioners in China. The exhibition was to have more people understand the cruelty of the persecution.

Anti-torture exhibition in front of Chinese Consulate

Due to limited space in front of the consulate, the practitioners set up the anti-torture exhibition on two flatbed trucks parked across from the consulate and broadcast a commentary with speakers in both English and Chinese. The exhibition was startling though it only revealed a few of the brutal torture methods that Jiang Zemin's political faction use to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Almost all passers-by stopped to watch the reenactment, look at posters and accept leaflets about Falun Gong and the persecution. Some passers-by expressed their indignation about the persecution and sympathy for the victims. They signed their names on a petition to support the effort to stop the persecution.

The staff in the consulate called the police in attempts to stop the practitioners' activity. However, police in the USA know very well about practitioners' peaceful activities and understand the anti-torture exhibition. They did not intervene but instead protected the practitioners from harassment until the end of the exhibition.

A lady walked out of the consulate and took photos of practitioners. The practitioners pleaded that she stop following Jiang's faction and assisting with the persecution of kind people.

We call on all kind-hearted people to help innocent Falun Gong practitioners and help stop the ongoing brutal persecution.
