On March 19, 2005, the Malaysia Bar Association held its annual meeting at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. In order to let more lawyers learn the truth, practitioners in Malaysia held an anti-torture exhibition at the hotel to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China by the Chinese Communist Party and Jiang Zemin's political faction. Practitioners reenacted some of the tortures used on Falun Gong practitioners in China. This is the second time that practitioners in Malaysia have held an anti-torture exhibition.

Early that morning, practitioners came to the hotel to arrange the site. They put up photos on the wall which showed the widespread popularity of Falun Dafa around the world, some works of Falun Gong practitioner artists entitled, "Uncompromising Spirit," and photos of anti-torture exhibitions from around the world. Some practitioners acted out the torture methods used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China, while others demonstrated the beautiful and peaceful Falun Gong exercises at a corner of the site.
Many lawyers attended this annual meeting. During the tea break, practitioners prepared materials and flyers to approach the lawyers to tell them about the anti-torture exhibition and invite them to visit and find out more. Many lawyers accepted materials and came over to look.
Some lawyers learned the truth and took the initiative to ask practitioners whether there was an activity to collect signatures so they could sign their names to show their support. Others invited their friends to come to view the anti-torture exhibition after learning the truth.
Many lawyers came to listen to practitioners' explanation of the persecution taking place in China. Some lawyers had not heard about Falun Gong before, but they understood after practitioners patiently introduced Falun Gong and the facts surrounding the brutal persecution. Most lawyers who learned the truth were willing to sign their names to call for an end to the persecution. And many lawyers also signed the petition supporting the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin.
That day, Malaysia practitioners also held a press conference. Three practitioners who have personally experienced persecution in China exposed the physical and mental trauma it has caused. Ms. Zou Yuyun from Guangzhou was illegally incarcerated for over four years and suffered torture during detention. The wife of Mr. Kong Bin from Beijing told how she was deceived by the Jiang faction's lies and reported him to the police in an attempt to send him to a brainwashing centre. The older brother of Zhang Xufeng from Shandong Province told how his brother was illegally detained by the police for persisting in practising Falun Gong, which caused the family to lose a source of income. These practitioners are Chinese citizens who had their professions and happy families. They benefited greatly from practising Falun Gong, but Jiang's faction persecuted them, forcing them to stay away from home and breaking up their families. Malaysia Human Rights lawyer Edmund Bon spoke at the press conference, calling upon the Malaysian government to urge the Chinese authorities to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.
