AT around 10:00 a.m. on March 5th, 2005, I received a phone call from my co-worker about a car crash involving the public security bureau. The accident was caused by a blow-out in a rear tire on the freeway from Puning City to Huilai City. There were five people in the car: Lin Shudong, Zheng Songju, director Zheng and another person died on the spot, only a business owner survived.
The faces of these co-workers kept appearing before my eyes: Lin Shudong, 33 years old, the secretary of the former Director General Wang of Jieyang City Public Security Bureau; Zheng Songju, 41 years old; Director Zheng, 33 years old; all of them were young. In my deep sorrow I recalled the evening of February 24, when I drank tea and talked with a Falun Gong practitioner. He explained the truth about Falun Gong and very seriously told me that the people and police who persecute Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa practitioners would receive karmic retribution!
At that time, I did not care about his words, because I did not really believe in the existence of god. But since the accident, I truly believe there is retribution. How can we believe it is simply a coincidence? There were five people in the car. The four people who died all actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong; only the business owner survived.
I went to see that Falun Gong practitioner again with a question. He told me, "No matter how big the mistake a person has made in the past, as long as he/she does not sabotage Falun Dafa, does not persecute Falun Dafa practitioners and has proper thoughts and belief in Falun Dafa, he/she will have blessings. For those who do persecute, the sin will be great. Although your co-workers worked very hard, they did not understand that Falun Dafa is about cultivating godhood. In history, the sins borne by those who persecuted the Buddha Fa and cultivators was the greatest. These men did not distinguish good from evil, but blindly followed orders from higher authorities, passed those orders on to their subordinates and cursed Falun Gong.
While director Zheng was the deputy director of Paotai Town Police Station, he arrested Falun Dafa practitioners. Even though the persecutors gained money and fame, the higher authorities could not protect their lives. Some policemen knew Falun Dafa practitioners are kind, but still did evil things against their own conscience and continued to arrest and persecute them. It is a heavenly law that good is rewarded with good and evil meets with evil. What's waiting for them is the most severe punishment."
On the morning of March 7th, I went to say farewell to them at the Jiedong funeral home. I felt very sorry for them. They pursued money and fame, but could not treat Falun Dafa kindly and became Jiang's victims. But they did not know why they died. They left behind their elderly parents, wives and little children.
I have also arrested Falun Dafa practitioners and participated in the persecution of Falun Gong. But recently I talked with several Falun Dafa practitioners and learnt about their belief and saw their sincerity, kindness, and tolerance. I was moved and began protecting them in secret. I became good friends with Falun Dafa practitioners. Now, I feel so lucky to have been awakened and feel very grateful for the chance Falun Dafa gave me.
For those who are still alive, for the happiness of my co-workers' families, I loudly cry out, "My fellow workers, please stop the persecution! Be kind to Falun Dafa, and the heavens will grant happiness and peace."

[Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.]
