On March 4, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Kinki held an anti-torture exhibition near the Osaka Court to expose to Japanese people the brutal torture methods used by Jiang Zemin's faction in the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Practitioners in Japan also hoped to raise awareness within the Japanese legal circle in order to bring the chief culprit Jiang to justice as soon as possible in courts of law around the world.
Japan is a democratic country, and people were shocked upon seeing these torture methods reenacted. Some lawyers saw the event and shook their heads, saying that it was inconceivable that these atrocities were going on in China in the 21st century. Several passers-by expressed that they wanted to learn more about Falun Gong and the persecution.
