German Falun Gong practitioners Jiang Renzheng and his wife Guo Rui sought asylum but were denied, and thus deported by the German Government back to China where they were subjected to persecution. The tragic incident was succeeded by another similar one. UK Falun Gong practitioner Jin Hua is faced with the danger of being deported back to China.
Currently, Jin Hua is being detained by the Home Office, which has already offered China detailed information of him and planned to have him board a plane headed for Moscow today, from where he will be transferred to Beijing.
Jin Hua started practising Falun Gong in March 1999. After former communist leader Jiang Zemin launched his campaign of genocide against the practice, Jin Hua and two colleagues, who were also Falun Gong practitioners, downloaded leaflets from as Falun Gong website and distributed them or sent them by post. In April 2002, when he was out of town on a business trip, the other two practitioners were arrested when they were mailing the Dafa materials. Jin Hua was informed of their arrest. He could not return home because he would also have been arrested so was thus made homeless. He applied for further studies in UK and moved there in September 2002.
During the summer vacation of July 2003, he returned to China to see his wife. By chance, he met a fellow practitioner who invited him to distribute leaflets. Once when they were handing out the leaflets, they were encircled by a large number of policemen. They were detained in Liaoshan District Police Station in Jinxi City, where they were interrogated. The police started beating Jin’s fellow practitioner and used handcuffs to hit Jin Hua, furiously shouting at him, “Do you know more information?” When he revealed that he did not, the police started slapping him across his face until he was knocked to the ground. That was not the end of the violence. The police kicked his head, one of his teeth was knocked out and he was knocked unconscious.
Some time later, Jin recovered consciousness and found the police were gone. His fellow practitioner was beaten half to death and could not move, but he still encouraged Jin to escape by jumping out of the window. With his righteous thoughts he miraculously escaped. Then, with the help of his family, he safely returned to UK and sought political asylum. Unfortunately, his case was refused by the Home Office and the Court, because both of them did not believe that he would be in danger if was sent back to China. The Home Office and the Court said that he had successfully gone through customs twice, which meant that he was not a person that the Chinese authorities were interested in.
We sincerely ask the world’s people to speak out against the UK Government’s plan to deport Jin Hua to China for certain persecution. Please fax or e-mail your support letter to Jin Hua’s lawyer and the UK Home Office. Please start your letter with Jin Hua’s Home Office number: J1092004.
