Russian Falun Gong practitioners were very concerned when they heard that two Singapore practitioners were unjustly arrested by the Singapore Government after distributing material revealing the persecution to tourists from Mainland China. On 6th May 2005, representatives from the Russian Falun Gong Association went to the Singapore Embassy in Moscow and handed in a letter of appeal, requesting Singapore to cancel its unfair judgement.

The staff of the Singapore Embassy received the representatives from the Russian Falun Gong Association. Practitioners told the staff the truth about Falun Gong, exposing the Chinese Communist Party’s violent human rights abuses and calling on the Singapore Government to treat this incident seriously. Singapore has become the first country other than Mainland China to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, thus resulting in the country being condemned by international justice and affecting Singapore’s reputation in the world. The Embassy staff said that they will transfer all the suggestions of the Russian Falun Gong Association, including every single piece of text and video in both Chinese and Russian, to the Singapore Government.
