On May 13, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from Seoul, Daejeon-city, Ansan-si, Suwon-si, and Incheon-city gathered in Seoul to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and the 13th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public.
Around 6:00pm, the celebration formally began. Activities included a parade, poetry recitals, instrumental ensembles, dances and waist-drum performances.

Before the performance began, the master of ceremonies (M.C.) made the following announcement: "With the great support from Korea people and the rescue effort by various organisations, Korean citizen Mr. Kwack Byung-ho's wife, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Chengnu was released today and she is now on her way home here." Upon hearing the good news, the audience warmly applauded and cheered.
The M.C. started with good news, which added more joyful atmosphere to the celebration. The performances were divided into two parts. In the first part, singers dressed in traditional Korean costume sang the song, "Coming for you", which was very touching. An instrumental solo seemed to bring people to a serene realm as beautiful as described by poets.
During the intermission, a congratulatory letter and a video from MP Shin were displayed on the huge screen. MP Shin expressed to celebrate with all the Sixth World Falun Dafa Day. At the same time, he stated that Falun Dafa was introduced from China to the entire world, unfortunately, it is suppressed in China. He hopes that the persecution of Falun Gong in China will end soon and freedom will be returned to people.
The M.C. of the second part of the performance was a Korean actress, Ms. Xu Jiashu. She told the audience: I've practised Falun Gong for only a short period of time, but I understand how to discipline myself in accordance with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance and be a good person.
In this part, performances by Minghui School students, the Great Tang Dynasty dance, and the waist drum performance pushed the celebration to a climax. A large number of people watched the performances. A Chinese friend sighed with emotion, "To tell the truth, when Falun Gong was first suppressed, I also had a prejudice against the practice. However, when seeing that Falun Gong has been through such brutal persecution and has been spread to the entire world, I'm very touched. The Chinese communist regime's persecution really leads itself to a dead end."
