On June the 9th 2005, Wang Yunkun, Secretary of the CCP’s Jilin Provincial Party Committee, led a group of Chinese automobile workers to attend the International Automotive Industry meetings held at the National Centre of Industry & Technology (CNIT) in La Défense, Paris, France.
In the afternoon of June the 8th 2005, the French Falun Gong Association, acting on behalf of Zhao Ming, a Falun Gong practitioner who is living in Ireland at present, filed a lawsuit in the Tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris. The lawsuit described the brutal persecution that Zhao Ming had suffered in Jilin and other areas of China because he practises Falun Gong. Other documents submitted together with the lawsuit explained the degree of cruelty of the persecution. The lawsuit was accepted by the procurator’s office immediately.
The prosecutor indicated that the investigation of this case would take place in the afternoon of June the 9th 2005. On June 9th, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful appeal in the square outside the CNIT to expose China’s merciless persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. They also called for Wang Yunkun to be brought to justice for his crimes against humanity.
