Finnish practitioners held a peaceful protest outside the Chinese embassy in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, on 26th June 2005. The purpose of this activity was to expose the facts of the CCP’s cruel persecution of Falun Gong, calling for the murderers of Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong to be severely punished. Banners were unfurled reading “Support Chen Yonglin’s Act of Justice” in order to awaken the justice and conscience in the Embassy staff through publicizing the deeds of recent defectors in Australia.
During the activity a few elderly people out strolling, passed by. An elderly man asked us if we were protesting. A practitioner replied yes, and told him how the Chinese Communist Party and Jiang’s evil regime tortured Gao Rongrong just because she practised Falun Gong; they mutilated her face and eventually caused her death. The old man said he hoped that the Embassy could hear the practitioner’s voice.
The beginning and end of the Incident of Gao Rongrong’s Murder
Before her death, Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong used to work in the finance department of Shenyang City’s Luxun Arts Institute in Liaoning Province. In July 2003 she was kidnapped to Longshan Labour Reformation Camp by illegitimate means. On 7th May 2004, Gao Rongrong was continuously shocked with electric batons for seven hours by Captain Jiang Zhaohua and Deputy Captain of the Second Brigade Tang Yubao. Her face was severely disfigured and covered with blisters. After being published, the photo of her ruined face astounded the international community.
In October 2004, Gao was successfully rescued by a number of Falun Gong practitioners. The incident of Gao Rongrong’s escape was called “Case 26” by the Chinese Communist Party’s police department. Luo Gan, the head of the “610 Office” (an organisation that operates above the law to specifically carry out the persecution against Falun Gong) implemented the retaliation.
On 6th March 2005, Gao Rongrong was once again arrested. She incessantly went on hunger strike to protest against the persecution. On 6th June 2005, she was sent to Shenyang Great Northern Surveillance Hospital by the Masanjia Labour Camp authorities. At that time her life was on the brink of collapse, all over her body the organs were deteriorating and she was just skin and bones. On 16th June, fed up with the excruciating torture, she left the world. She was only thirty seven years old.
