On June 30th, 2005, Malaysian practitioners rallied in front of Chinese embassy to protest the murder of Gao Rongrong and call for punishment of the murderers. Several media outlets including Reuters, AP and several Chinese language newspapers in Malaysia interviewed practitioners at the event.
Ms. Gao's face was disfigured due to some 7 hours of electric shock in May 2004. As soon as her photos were published on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, the world was shocked by the brutality of the CCP. Despite the mounting international pressure thereafter, the CCP still continued to persecute Gao and eventually tortured her to death.
Practitioners hoisted a huge banner which read "Gao Rong Persecuted to death and Bring the Murderers to Justice." They also displayed photos of Ms. Gao and other practitioners who have been persecuted to death with an eye-catching note: To date, 2629 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death." Passing by vehicles slowed down to read the banner and posters. All the reporters and police officers were shocked by the photo of Ms. Gao's disfigured face, some police officers asked: "How many have been persecuted to death? More than 2000?"
Practitioners also distributed leaflets about Ms. Gao's death, which recounted brutal means used by CCP to torture and kill practitioners.
