On the 25th June, French Falun Gong practitioners attended a cultural activity in the city of Lons-le-Saunier, Jura province in the east of France. Falun Gong once again touched the hearts of the local people.
In the morning, practitioners from the east of France set up their stall. The weather that day was unbearably hot. Despite that, many people still approached practitioners to find out about Falun Gong and the persecution in China, and to sign the petition calling for an end to the human rights abuses.
After signing the petition a gentleman asked, “In the past I have signed lots of petitions concerning human rights issues in China. I would like to know whether signing this petition will be useful or not.”
A practitioner replied, “Yes, of course it’s useful. In fact now we have seen the effects. For example, Jiang Zemin, the former president of China who started the persecution of Falun Gong, has now been sued in many countries all over the world, including France. Furthermore, a few of the prime persecutors of Falun Gong have been successfully tried and found guilty in America. Once they put their feet on the land of these countries, they will be summoned to court or even punished by law!”
Upon hearing this, the gentleman was delighted and said, “That’s brilliant! I hope my signature will have an impact and be helpful to you!”
