On July 20th 2005, Russian Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful rally in the square in front of the Moscow Palace of Culture, calling for an end to the persecution of people who practice in China.
It has been six years since Jiang Zemin colluded with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in launching a campaign of violence, brutality and suppression against Falun Gong. During the six year persecution, the CCP employed violent methods and used lies and propaganda to turn the entire against Falun Gong. Practitioners in the 78 countries where Falun Gong is practised have spent the last six years on all sorts of efforts to let people know the truth about Falun Gong and to expose the CCP’s evil deeds. Falun Gong practitioners keep using their sincerity and kindness to uncover the evil lies and to awaken people’s conscience.
Russia is a place where people are more severely poisoned by the CCP’s lies than in any other nation. In addition, China attempts to use economic interests to bribe Russia. Russian practitioners have overcome various obstacles and made good use of all opportunities to raise awareness about the persecution.
To tell people the facts, today Russian practitioners hung banners, erected display boards and held an anti-torture exhibition. People simulated the draconian forms of torture used in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. Photos of persecuted Chinese practitioners were put on display. Meanwhile, when being interviewed by reporters, Russian practitioners called on the Chinese Government to stop persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in China, to stop extending the persecution overseas and to stop spreading lies outside China to poison people’s minds.
Today’s peaceful rally attracted many Russian citizens. People attentively read the material on display boards and listened to practitioners telling them the facts of the persecution. People were shocked by the persecution happening in China and showed concern over it. Many of them signed the petition to express their opposition to the persecution.
