France: Practitioners were Invited to Demonstrate Falun Gong Exercises at an Overseas Chinese Democracy and Peace Conference

On July 9th 2005, the French branch of the Global Alliance for Democracy and Peace and the Asian Democracy and Peace Prayer Association held a joint conference in Paris to oppose tyranny and exalt democracy. Civil groups from China, Taiwan, Tibet, Vietnam and Iran were invited to the conference. Falun Gong practitioners were also invited to take part in the activities.

The subject of the conference was opposing tyranny and paying respects to human rights. Representatives of several groups that have suffered from persecution at the hands of the Communist Party delivered speeches to expose the evil nature of the Communist Party.

The Chairman of the French Falun Gong Association also delivered a speech in the conference. In the speech, he denounced the persecution that the Chinese communist regime is conducting against Falun Gong practitioners. He also gave an account of Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful journey of anti-persecution in the past six years. He told the participants that only cherishing virtue and doing good deeds could lead mankind to actual prosperity. The world needs “truthfulness, compassion and tolerance.”

During the breaks, people could browse the information boards set up in the lobby and collect all kinds of reference material. The special publication “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” provided by The Epoch Times newspaper received a warm welcome from the public.

Falun Gong practitioners were invited to demonstrate Falun Gong exercises in the conference. Their exercise performance brought a peaceful atmosphere to the conference hall.

Also participating in the performance was a chorus from Taiwan. They dressed in national costume and sang two unique Taiwanese folk songs. Their performance received enthusiastic applause from the audience.
