On August 6th 2005, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to take part in the Hamilton Carnival in Ontario, Canada. As the organisers were deeply impressed by the practitioners' parade entry last year, the organisation committee sent a special invitation to Falun Gong practitioners and arranged the Falun Gong contingent as the first entry in the parade procession. The organisers invited practitioners to hold two coloured banners embroidered with the Falun emblem as the background for their ribbon cutting during the opening ceremony.
