Solemn Declarations From Those who Don't Practise Falun Gong

Editors note: A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Falun Dafa and guaranteeing not to practise again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by Jiang Zemin and his regime, many people who don't practise Falun Dafa but who have come to understand the truth are also submitting "solemn declarations" as a way of saying sorry for their involvement in the persecution.

Solemn Declaration

I am not a Falun Dafa practitioner but, knowing that Falun Dafa is good, I always speak and act on behalf of the practise. However, under the multiple pressures of having my mother imprisoned illegally for an extended period of time due to her steadfast belief in Falun Dafa, my father being very ill and on the verge of mental collapse, and my younger brother being left to my care, I went to the detention center where my mother was illegally imprisoned, to force my mother to write the Three Statements¹, with the hope that my mother could be released and come back home. Later on I regretted my actions very much, and realized that I had made a terrible mistake. I hereby declare that all I said and did which was not according to Falun Dafa is null and void. I will be more steadfast in supporting Falun Dafa and staying away from the evil.

Solemn Declaration

During the period from 2002 to 2003, when my parents were severely persecuted by the malicious Chinese Communist Party, we turned in all my parents' Falun Dafa books, Master's pictures and their Falun Dafa lecture tapes to the evil people persecuting us. We committed a big sin. We hereby declare that everything we did against Falun Dafa is null and void. We will use every means to tell people that Falun Dafa is good so as to make up for all the damage we have brought to Falun Dafa.

1. Three Statements: Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write "Repentance Statement," "Guarantee Statement" or 'Dissociation Statement" as proof that they have given up their belief. In the statement, the practitioner is forced to admit remorse for practicing Falun Gong, promise to give up Falun Gong, and never again associate with other practitioners or go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong.
