To protest against the suppression and persecution of Falun Gong by the Jiang regime which, in the name of Chinese government, has killed 360 practitioners, arrested 100,000 and detained 20,000 in forced labour camps in the past two and a half years, Israeli practitioners came to the Chinese embassy in Tel Aviv every day from 5 to 10 p.m. to stand silently or demonstrate Falun Dafa exercises in the hope of awakening the consciences of embassy staff members and to convey the following message of overseas Falun Gong practitioners:
1. Stop the persecution of Falun Gong
2. Release innocent Falun Gong practitioners jailed or detained in labour camps and mental hospitals
3. Restore the reputation of Falun Dafa and Master Li
In addition, practitioners strongly demanded the release of Xiong Wei, the sister of Israeli practitioner Xiong Zhiyuan. Ms. Xiong has been illegally held in Beijing's Haidian Detention Centre for 30 days.
