Practitioners silently appeal outside the embassy |
With the arrival of Chinese Premier Hu Jintao looming, Falun Gong practitioners are making the most of his visit by staging various forms of appeal throughout London. One such activity was a rally held outside the Chinese Embassy on the 7th of November, 2005.
Falun Gong practitioners appeal outside the Chinese Embassy in silence as a practitioner delivers a speech |
Falun Gong practitioners sat silently in the cold night air, facing the Embassy across the road. Some held banners, some handed out information about the practice and the current situation of the persecution taking place in China. Speakers each delivered a speech to the Embassy. One of the speakers was Lord Francis Thurlow, a former British diplomat, who condemned the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Gong.
Hu Jintao will soon arrive in London. We hope that he will take note of what Falun Gong practitioners have to say and put a stop to this outrageous persecution.
