Chinese Communist Party Media Once Again Uses Staged Self-Immolation Incident to Slander Falun Gong

The media in mainland China has traditionally deceived the public under the direction of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Currently, tragedies and unrest occurring as a result of years of built-up resentment have been boiling up, but the media has hardly reported anything about it. Meanwhile, on November 3rd, 2005, the CCP-controlled media jumped on the report of a woman self-immolating at Nanchang Street in Beijing on November 2nd, 2005. Has the media suddenly decided to pay attention to the people's misery? Hardly. This report does not include any details about the incident, but only a few sentences that declared her to be a Falun Dafa practitioner named Li Xiaoying, from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. The tragic self-immolation was thus used by the CCP media to slander Falun Gong and justify the six-year bloody persecution.

Since the CCP-controlled media was so eager to report this "self-immolation", why not report the brutal torture and killing of innocent Falun Dafa practitioners that have happened in labour camps, prisons, and brainwashing centres? Why not report on how Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Rongrong's face was disfigured by seven hours of electric baton shocks in Longshan Labour Camp, and eventually murdered? Why not report on the repeated inhuman sexual abuses against female Falun Dafa practitioners in the Dalian City Labour Camp?

We can say that the only purpose of this report is to mislead the general public, and to deceive people into thinking that Falun Dafa practise may lead practitioners to self-immolation. Falun Dafa teaches people to be good and forbids killing or suicide. The Minghui/Clearwisdom website has frequently pointed out that practitioners should remain rational and treasure their lives under all circumstances, no matter what the circumstances. Why have there not been any suicide or self-immolation incidents with Falun Dafa practitioners outside China?

The CCP has tried with all its might to keep persecution facts from reaching outside of China. We can only find a little trace of Ms. Li Xiaoying. According to Latest News from China - August 16th, 2004 ( http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/8/16/51431p.html), Ms. Li Xiaoying was detained in Shijiazhuang City Second Prison, arrested after her term ended, fined more than ten thousand yuan, and then sent to a brainwashing session located in the "Legal Education Centre" in Shijiazhuang City

The atrocities committed inside Chinese prisons are notorious. This "Legal Education Centre" is an evil brainwashing centre. Falun Dafa practitioners are tortured by being deprived of sleep, forced to listen to slanderous propaganda, and other physical tortures meant to force them into accepting the brainwashing. Innocent people are being inhumanly tortured both physically and mentally. Some of them were forced to jump off the building, and some suffered nervous breakdowns. The tragedy of Ms. Li Xiaoying, be it a CCP fabrication or due to loss of self-control, is caused entirely by the cruel persecution and brainwashing. Just because she kept her faith in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, she was detained, tortured, brainwashed and finally died a tragic death.
