Italian Falun Gong practitioners held the first “Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance” International Art Exhibition in the town of Andorno. Maria Teresa Molineris an art journalist for Italian newspaper Il Biellese, covered the exhibition for the paper. The journalist lingered for about twenty minutes in front of a painting entitled “Wish Fulfilled,” marvelling at the beauty of the artistic work. The following is her article entitled “Use Art to Expose Brutal Persecution” published in Il Biellese.
“Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance” is also called Falun Gong. Italian Falun Gong practitioners decided to hold an art exhibition in a hall in Andorno offered by Friends of the Art Association. In Biella there are also practitioners who practise this cultivation method rooted in ancient Chinese culture. Falun Gong, consisting of five sets of exercises, aims to upgrade a practitioner’s spiritual level and to perfect one’s behaviour.
The art exhibition was put on display in Andorno in support of their belief and the business they are dedicated to: to expose to the world the brutal persecution happening in China and the atrocities against Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang Zemin. In the exhibition hall offered by Friends of the Art Association the paintings were displayed based on various subjects. The displayed paintings are perfect replicas of the original works, some of which were created by world-famous artists. The paintings are of great delicacy and beauty. Through their artistic creations the artists attempted to illustrate a spiritual world: goodness and beauty of a heavenly world can be pursued through meditation and upgrading one’s inner world. Artists used techniques of realism to depict the brutality of torture and the suffering inflicted on the persecuted by Jiang Zemin.
