A group of Falun Gong practitioners from different European countries started a twenty-four hour candlelight vigil when Hu Jintao arrived in Berlin on Thursday, November 10th, 2005. The Falun Gong practitioners said that although the weather was really cold, the practitioners who are being persecuted in China have no right to choose day or night because they are being persecuted around the clock. The continuous and peaceful petition lasted until Hu left on Sunday.
When the night came, the practitioners demonstrated the graceful Falun Gong exercise movements to music; various photos on display illustrated the process of Falun Gong’s spread across the world, and its persecution in China. The strong energy field attracted passersby to stop and watch.

Young people were attracted by the energy field
A group of German young people were talking and laughing. When coming to the practitioners’ petition site, the noise suddenly disappeared and became quiet. The young people seemed to be influenced by the energy field and stood in a line to imitate the practitioners’ exercise movements to practise the exercises.
The practitioners taught them the exercise movements, gave them leaflets and told them why they presented a petition here. A young man said happily, “It’s too miraculous. I feel a strong energy field. What you’re doing is correct. It’s terrific!” They all took the material and said they would read it in earnest at home.
The sound of “Falun Dafa is Good” filled the night air
About 7pm on November 11th, when several practitioners from Norway passed through the intersection behind the Hotel Adlon, they met Hu Jintao’s fleet on the way to the presidential palace’s dinner. The practitioners opened a banner reading “Falun Dafa Hao” (Falun Dafa is Good) and shouted out loud “Falun Dafa Hao”. The people in the limo all turned and looked. After a while, a policeman came and asked the practitioners what the content of the banner was. The practitioners told him and gave him a flyer. He said that he understood and it was ok to hang the banner, but the practitioners have to cooperate with the police and can’t stand too close to the front. Then he stood by the practitioners. Now the practitioners understood that actually Hu Jintao hadn’t come out yet. Then the practitioners made a full preparation. After a while, Hu Jintao’s limo passed and the practitioners shouted out loud together: “Falun Dafa Hao” and “Hu Jintao: the time the Gods and man give you is limited.” Their strong voices filled the night air.
