On the 24th and 25th of January 2006, the Council of Europe held a plenary meeting. Falun Gong practitioners from France, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Norway, Russia, Belgium and Finland gathered in Strasbourg where the meeting was held and engaged in an activity in front of the European Council building to reveal the cruel and inhumane persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party.
This activity aroused a high degree of interest from representatives at the conference, the media and the masses of people. At this meeting, the European Council, passed a resolution condemning the totalitarian governments of communism. Falun Gong practitioners hope that this resolution will help more people to recognize the crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and join them in denouncing the CCP’s brutal human rights abuses against people who practice Falun Gong in China.
