The Chinese New Year is upon us, and New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) is holding the "2006 Chinese New Year Global Gala" in seventeen major cities around the globe, which represents the charm of Chinese culture handed down by gods. This gala restages beautiful, legendary stories. It is only natural that the gala is well received and that Chinese people around the world will praise this event highly, since it is a representation of the Chinese people's heavenly endowed all-encompassing, profound, and spectacular God-given heritage.
The gala presents the essence of all of China's ethnic groups, all of whom are plagued by the Chinese regime's Communist party (CCP), a group that stands against tradition and human values. The CCTV's annual attempt to eulogise itself by staging the repetitive "Spring Festival Party" can in no way be considered a match for the gala.
This is already the third year that NTDTV has presented this spectacular cultural event. For the past three years, several dozen galas, patterned on NTDTV's major event, have regaled audiences worldwide. The dedicated artists come from Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Their immense talents regale the audience with song and dance and tremendous acting ability during the restaging of the wonderful myths and beautiful legends. The performers shared with the audiences the happiness of beautiful lives and revealed the heavenly principle: good will be rewarded and evil will be punished. These riveting galas have provided the Chinese people around the world one feast for the mind after another, and have made it possible for people to bid farewell to the outgoing year in a grand way, and welcome the coming year, showing their sincere gratitude and renewing their God-given cultural heritage.
After watching these touching performances, several of the audience members shared their excitement over how these performances are full of inspiring wisdom. They make people once again appreciate their God-given culture, a heritage that inspires people to revere the heavens and know one's fate, to pay homage to gods and Buddhas. They further commented that these performances remind people to return to one's true, original self, and believe in the principle that good will be rewarded and evil will receive karmic retribution. Several people said that this is long overdue and added that for a long time they have been unable to watch such a healthy and beautiful gala, full of harmony, compassion and warmth. Following is a brief review.
The dance drama "The Eyes of the Stone Lion" represents a traditional story, which has deeply touched the viewers' hearts. The performance might be summed up thusly: When Bodhisattva Guanyin removed her beggar clothes and a shining light appeared on the stage, many viewers were deeply moved. Some of them explained to their children in a low voice, "That is Guanyin!" The Bodhisattva compassionately told the kind-hearted older woman to leave the village as soon as the eyes of the stone lion turned red, since by then a big calamity would happen. The kind-hearted older woman immediately told this to everyone in the village. Those who believed her thanked her and left, and those who did not believe sneered at her.
A person's single thought determines his or her future.
Although the dance drama was already over, many viewers' minds were still pondering.
The dance "Nine Swords Eradicating the Evil Dragon" portrays an evil spectre--a red dragon-- descending on a harmonious earth. It savagely and cruelly harms people. Its pawns run rampant in the human world and the mountains and rivers turn blood red. The celestial phenomena suddenly changes, and a larger than life, spectacular melody indicates the beginning of a new epoch. Inspired by the gods, cultivators in the human world hold up "Nine Swords" to confront the evil dragon. In the battle between righteousness and evil, the Nine Swords, as weapons of the Universal Law, work cohesively, either sharp or firm, or plain. When the Nine Swords are dispersed, they form a battle array; when gathered together, they form a whole body. The red dragon is beheaded, and heaven and earth become light again. The sounds of thunder, divine drums during the beheading of the evil dragon triggers viewers' enthusiastic applause, and one can tell the viewers' hearts are cheering the beheading of the evil dragon.
The viewers applauded the "Coming for You" choir whose members came from Europe. The choir includes members from different countries, with different skin colours, and speaking different languages. Their singing of "Coming for You" made the audience realise that these people sang from pure compassion and heartfelt empathy and were telling the precious Chinese people, "Don't believe in the lies that deceive the world;" rather, be aware that "Falun Dafa is good," and "Do not miss this rare opportunity that comes once in ten thousand years." Hearing this song that comes from deep inside their souls, some viewers were moved to tears saying, "I can feel their genuine compassion!"
Another feature was the "Plum Blossom" dance. Although appearing to be weak and soft, plum blossoms do not fear bitter cold and can brave a snowstorm, and are finally able to see the coming of a warm and beautiful spring. This representation of traditional Chinese culture embodies humanity's unyielding character traits, which people in various circumstances all around the world deeply respect. Someone said, "It is quite fitting that the plum blossom analogy of braving bitter cold and snow simply represents those millions of cultivators who believe in "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance."
In this happy, righteousness-filled, overflowing with kindness and peacefulness atmosphere, the audiences cannot only feel the performers' elegant artistry and the New Year blessings, but also the profound meaning of a person cherishing his life, raising his moral character and returning to his compassionate, true self.
Unfortunately, this kind of beautiful gala can now only be staged outside of China, because in places outside of China the Chinese Communist Regime cannot fully exert it's evil influence. Many Chinese people can enjoy the gala long distance only after successfully breaking through the CCP's satellite broadcasting blockade or through the Internet blockade. One thing is for certain: if the demonic persecution did not exist, this gala could be broadcast and shown to all the people around the world, including those in Mainland China.
