Belgian Media Interview Practitioner Matthias who Appealed for Falun Dafa on Tiananmen

While Matthias Slats was detained in Beijing after participating in a peaceful demonstration on Tiananmen Square on February 14, reporters from many news agencies interviewed Mrs. Slats. Major newspaper and TV stations all gave positive reports on the event. The Minister of the Department of Foreign Affairs called Mrs. Slats and expressed that he would try his best to help Matthias return to Belgium as soon as possible.

On February 15, Belgian practitioners welcomed Matthias home at the Brussels train station. Major TV stations broadcasted the event. Then VTR TV invited practitioners to a live interview at their prime time slot. Matthias told the truth of the Jiang regime's persecution against Falun Dafa and introduced Falun Gong to the audience. He further called upon the Belgian government and people, international organisations, and news media to learn more about Falun Gong and help stop the slandering and defamation of Falun Gong by the Chinese Embassy in Belgium. He further urged the Chinese government to stop the persecution and killing of Falun Gong practitioners.
