On March 20th, the United Evening News reported on the horrors of organ (kidney, liver, cornea, etc) removal from live Falun Gong practitioners inside the Sujiatun Concentration Camp. Below is a translation of the original text.
Falun Gong practitioners charged today that several sources of evidence have confirmed that there is a concentration camp in Sujiatun district, Shenyang city in Mainland China. About 6000 practitioners have been sent to the camp and are subjected to forced organ (i.e. kidney, liver, cornea, etc) removal while alive. The Taiwan Falun Dafa Association called on president Bush to uphold justice and demand the Chinese Communist Party to improve human rights in China during his meeting with Hu Jintao next month.
The association held a press conference today and played an interview recording. The informant who disclosed the concentration camp is a family member of a Shenyang doctor who knows the situation very well. He alleged that Liaoning Provincial Thrombosis Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine has a concentration camp. Since 2001, the concentration camp has secretly detained approximately 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners, and none of them have been able to leave the camp alive.
Among them, 4000 people have had their organ(s) such as kidney, liver and cornea and even skin removed by the hospital. The authorities illegally sell the organs for profit. The even more incredibly brutal fact is that the organs were removed while the practitioners were still alive.
After the organs were removed, the bodies of these practitioners were cremated secretly in a crematorium, which was converted from a boiler. Their ashes were dumped together with burned charcoal.
The informant said that the inhumane terror had become an organised crime at state level. People who have benefited from the crime include high-ranking individuals of hospitals and officials of the Chinese Health System. From organ matching, organ removal to disposal of corpses, the whole process has been programmed.
Another senior journalists who went to the Mainland to conduct an investigation recently pointed out that the secret prison has a "crematorium" and none of the Falun Gong practitioners who have been sent to this prison have left there alive. Before cremation, all internal organs of practitioners have been removed. Some were even burned alive to dispose evidence.
In addition, Shenyang Heping District Infectious Hospital and the Affiliated Hospital of the Shenyang Huangguo District Institute of Traditional-Chinese Medicine have admitted 425 patients with bird flu. All these patients have been taken as live experimental samples for medical research.
Chang Ching-Hua, director of the Graduate Institute of Journalism at National Taiwan University and member of the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association, said that China has become the largest organ transplant centre of the world with an abundant supply. It is said that they can find matching and high quality organs in just a few days. However, the sources of the organs have never been identified. Meanwhile, the Chinese Communist regime has not openly denied the charge of organ removal inside the Sujiatun concentration camp.
Chang Ching-hsi, director and Spokesman for the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association and an Economics professor of National Taiwan University, said: "President Bush will meet Hu Jintao next month. We hope that Bush will add the Sujiatun Concentration Camp to his list of important topics and protest this to Hu in person. Such an atrocity should not be allowed to continue.
