Some Falun Gong practitioners distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in the Beijing Xisihuan Shijicheng area of China, where many university professors live. They placed a booklet on the road to the gardens every few meters. The local police regarded it as a critical situation and sent out a large police force to guard the area. After a few days, the police had taken away most of the copies of the Nine Commentaries. One day, when a staff member from a Beijing university walked in the street in front of Xidan Market, a young fellow suddenly appeared in the crowd and shouted loudly, "The heavens will extinguish the Chinese Communist Party! When the village Party Committee convenes meetings or organises some activity, most of the CCP members don't want to attend, so the committee uses money to attract people, offering 10 yuan every time the CCP member attends an activity. The amount has now been increased to 15 yuan. Some CCP members who went there said, "We also don't want to attend the activities, and we all know the CCP is bad. We went there only for the money."
