On April 3rd 2006, several Scottish Falun Gong practitioners gathered outside the Chinese Consulate in Edinburgh to protest against and expose the CCP’s illegal harvesting and trade in organs from living Falun Gong practitioners at Sujiatun Concentration Camp.
Practitioners unfurled banners and handed out leaflets to people passing by, which exposed the cruelties happening in Sujiatun.. Many people read the leaflets and were extremely shocked. Some inquired for further details.
A large car full of Chinese people drove into the Consulate. As it by-passed the group of practitioners, the passengers stared at the banners wide-eyed. Even after the car had passed they still craned their heads to look. When the car departed again, some of the people in the car gestured to practitioners, indicating that they understood what is happening.
A builder was working on a nearby building side, and during his break he came over and took a leaflet, also asking about the extent of the CCP’s violence. He saw a female practitioner holding a baby under one year old and the weather was cold, sometimes it rained and it even hailed twice. Therefore he told the female practitioner that she could sit in his van, so that the baby could go to sleep. He also told the other practitioner that if they were cold, they could also warm up a bit inside his van.
The street on which the Chinese Consulate is situated is one of the main routes into Edinburgh from outside, and there are always many vehicles on the road. Lots of cars sounded their horns as they passed to support the practitioners’ protest, condemning CCP’s crimes.
