The Global democratic China and Asia Conference held in Berlin, Germany, passed a resolution urging the international community to instantly investigate organ harvesting on live people in China. In the meeting on Tuesday, Canadian representative Xue Sheng read the draft of this resolution.
The draft appeals to all governments, parliaments and human rights organisations to pay instant attention to the severe human rights violation happening in China. According to the statements of witnesses and the news revealed by overseas Falun Gong group and some independent media, appalling crimes of organ harvesting, illegal trading of organs, even organ harvesting on live people is happening in China.
The resolution quoted from the data released in China’s official media that ‘in the organ transplantation centre in Tianjin alone 1500 plus liver transplant operations, 800 plus kidney transplant operations and 900 plus cornea transplant operations were done in one year’.
Xue Sheng read: ‘here, we urge the international community, all the democratic countries in the West, parliaments, human rights organisations and non-government organisations, to instantly investigate into this severe human rights violation happening in China at this moment and to stop this calamity and horrible crime in human history from continuing to happen’.
Ms Xiuhong Jin from Seattle, US, told of the story around her Chinese relative’s being sentenced to death. She queried: ‘why did they refuse to let his relatives see this young man for the last time before he was killed and after he was killed, what was the reason? This means that it is not the first time that the Communist Party has done this thing (organ harvesting from prisoners)’.
The Chairman of the Chinese Student Association in Germany, Xiaoping Hu said: ‘we should try to get more reliable evidence and file trial to the World’s Courts’.
The final draft of this resolution will be submitted to all the countries and public.
The resolution in full is as follows:
To all the governments, parliaments and human rights organisations:
Berlin Global democratic China and Asia Conference held between 14th to the 19th of May 2006 brings your instant attention to the severe human rights violations happening in China.
Recently, according to the statements of witnesses and the news revealed by overseas Falun Gong groups and some independent media, appalling crimes of organ harvesting at will, illegal trading of organs, even organ harvesting on live people are happening in China.
The information released and published by the official agencies, on media and websites of mainland China has shown the fact that the number of human organ transplant operations is unusually huge and the number is increasing suspiciously rapidly, which shows the existence of a huge bank of human organ donors in mainland China. For instance, Film, TV and Books Weekly run by Changchun Daily revealed in an article entitled ‘China has become the global organ transplantation centre’ on 5th March 2006, that in the organ transplantation centre in Tianjin alone, 1500 plus liver transplant operations, 800 plus kidney transplant operations and 900 plus cornea transplant operations were done in one year. The record of that centre is that 24 liver transplant operations were done in one day. It is obvious that in China, the possibility that many innocent people’s organs were harvested at will, traded illegally and even when they were still alive really exists. Many innocent people’s lives are deprived of and they are killed cruelly.
Here, we urge the international community, all the democratic countries in the West, parliaments, human rights organisations and non-government organisations, to instantly investigate into this severe human rights violation happening in China at this moment and to stop this calamity and horrible crime in human history from continuing to happen’.
Please help to rescue those innocent lives under these malicious scalpels and please help to rescue those people in danger of losing their organs and even their lives.
2006 Global Democratic China and Asia Conference.
