May 22nd is Victoria Day. Every year, the city of Victoria holds a grand parade to celebrate the holiday. Together with 138 other groups, Falun Gong practitioners from Victoria and Vancouver participated in this 108th annual parade, which was attended by some 40,000 locals and a TV programme covering it was broadcast live nationwide.

At 9 a.m., the parade started from Mayfair Mall. Via Douglas Street, the parade finished at the city council at around 12:30 p.m. The practitioners' procession consisted of a waist drum troupe, a decorated float and a Falun Gong exercise demonstration team. The procession was led by a giant "Falun Dafa is Good" banner. Even though it was raining, about 40,000 local residents watched the parade in person.
