The CCP has brought countless misfortunes and disasters to China - more than 80 million Chinese have been killed and even more people have been living in humiliation under its deceit and oppression while being brainwashed and enslaved. Since July 20th, 1999, the CCP has carried out a campaign of genocide against Falun Gong practitioners. Recently, several witnesses disclosed atrocities of live organ removal from Falun Gong practitioners.

On November 19th, 2004, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published. The commentaries systemically and thoroughly analyse the CCP's history and expose its evil nature. So far, more than 11,400,000 people have quit the CCP and its related organisations.

At 10:30 a.m. on July 1st, the organisers and participants of the event gathered in a key location in Brisbane's Chinatown. Poems and songs supporting the withdrawals were broadcast through a loudspeaker. A waist drum group also performed. Passersby stopped to accept truth-clarification materials and sign the petitions to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.
