Thoughts of a Falun Gong Practitioner's Family Member

My father is a Falun Gong practitioner. He has not gone to the hospital or taken any medicine or injections for many years. He is almost 80 years old and has been in very good health. However, last November I noticed that he started to slim down and was not sleeping well. His belly seemed to have swollen up so I asked him to go to the hospital to have a check-up. Father reluctantly went to a famous hospital with me, hoping that there would be nothing wrong and he could come back home immediately afterwards. The results of the ultra sound examination indicated that his illness was very severe and he had to stay in the hospital for further check ups.

During his stay in the hospital, he had intravenous injections daily. Still, there was not any sign of recovery. I talked to the doctor in charge and he said that my father had cancer ascites and there wasn't much they could do since he was too old, and they could only try to keep him alive. My father insisted on going home. Several practitioners came to visit him and also persuaded him to go home to study the Falun Gong teachings and look inward for the problem. With my words in his heart my father returned home.

After he arrived home, my father realised that he had not been diligent recently, hadn't maintained a good cultivation status, and had a lot of attachments. Thus the old forces had taken advantage of the loopholes. So he arduously studied the Falun Gong teachings daily and improved his character. He practised the exercises and sent forth the righteous thoughts every day to eliminate all the interference and deny the old forces' arrangements. He went out to do Fa rectification work and spread Falun Gong to save the sentient beings. He asked for Master's support.

The practitioners came to study the Falun Gong teachings with him and sent forth righteous thoughts together and they formed a strong righteous field which helped to eliminate all kinds of interference and helped my father to improve his understandings and level. After three months, his ascites disappeared and he regained his healthy body. Now my father studies the Falun Gong teachings and practises the exercises more diligently. I witnessed the miracle of Falun Dafa with my own eyes.

I thank Teacher and Falun Dafa, who gave my father a second life. Previously, I only knew that Falun Gong practitioners were good people. Now I truly understand the greatness of Falun Dafa and know why practitioners do things to expose the persecution; it is to save sentient beings at the risk of their lives. I hope all kind people know more about Falun Gong and the real, vicious truth about the persecution.
