Germany: Revealing the Persecution of Falun Dafa to the People of Frankfurt

To mark the start of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China, Falun Gong practitioners from Frankfurt held activities from July 20th until the 22nd at the Chinese Consulate and in the busy outdoor shopping area on Zeil Strasse in Frankfurt. The information booth in front of the Consulate was set up to give the Consulate staff the opportunity to consider whether the government sponsored persecution of peaceful citizens constitutes a reason to withdraw from the CCP and thereby distance themselves from the policy of murder and torture. Indeed, a North American website has by now tracked eleven million Chinese who have officially withdrawn from the Communist Party and its associated Youth League. Of course, the passers-by and visitors to the Consulate also received fliers and were asked to sign a petition to end the persecution.

The activities on Zeil Street proved to be a magnet for visitors. The many banners and the re-enactment of a scene depicting the harvesting of organs from live victims alerted many people to the persecution of Falun Gong. They readily signed the various petitions, demanding the immediate release of imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners in China. Parents with children thought that the appeals were so urgent and so compelling that they even asked their children to sign. Many foreign visitors also signed the forms on the spot. Many commented, “I can’t believe that this is happening in today’s world!”

At the start of the activities, everybody suffered from the heat, but soon heavy wind and rain started to interfere. The wind was so strong that banners were blown away and street signs toppled over.

Overall, due to the commitment of many Falun Gong practitioners, the activities were a great success and we hope that with the help of the German population, the end of the persecution in China is in sight.
