In the mountainous countryside of Liaoning Province in China, a group of cultivators persevere in the practise of Falun Gong. They are honest and sincere. They show the true nature of Falun Dafa with their good deeds and simple kindness to the mountain people, demonstrating that Falun Dafa is indeed wonderful!
There are about twenty Falun Dafa practitioners in this mountain community. Under the most severe persecution, they have persisted from the very beginning in studying the Falun Gong teachings - Fa and practising the exercises together in a group. Through group practise and study, every practitioner benefits from the environment. When everyone is together, the righteous energy is very strong, and the mutual sharing of experiences and understanding from the Fa in cultivation helps to booster everyone’s cultivation progress. Whenever there is a problem, it can be resolved quickly through mutual group sharing.
These practitioners are highly disciplined and they measure themselves against the standards of the Fa in whatever they do and with whomever they interact with. Be it their neighbours or relatives, they are courteous, kind and gentle to others and are willing to lend a helping hand to the needy. Their actions and deeds became a role model for the people in the surrounding villages. In the beginning, when the persecution of Falun Gong started, the villagers were badly influenced by the evil propaganda. When they saw Falun Gong practitioners, they would try and get far away from them. However, as time progressed, they all found that Falun Gong practitioners were very nice and amiable people. Gradually they began to open themselves up. They started taking the initiative to say hello to the cultivators as well as wanting to acquire materials exposing the lies and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party . Through the noble and compassionate behaviour of practitioners, these simplistic village folks learnt that practitioners of Falun Gong were all good people, distinctly different from and contrary to what the State-controlled television had said.
Even when the local government official mediates the villagers’ disputes, he frequently cites Falun Gong practitioners as an example. For example, once when two villagers had a quarrel, the dispute went all the way to the village commission for resolution. The clash was so intense and boisterous that each was trying to argue their way out with their own reasoning. At the end of the mediation, the official pointed out to them that they should model Falun Gong practitioners, become good law-abiding citizens, and not make trouble. This was because of the practitioners’ strict adherence to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance as the standard by which to correct ones’ shortcomings. Falun Dafa practitioners gained the respect and heartfelt acceptance of the villagers.
No matter how these rural farmers appeared to be, no matter how innocent and virtuous these peasant family women looked, under the most evil and most bloody and relentless persecution by the evil Communist regime, these shy innocent folks were not spared, because they practised Falun Gong. These innocent people were routinely kidnapped, taken from their homes, detained, threatened and sent to labour camps for re-education. In spite of this most brutal, evil and venomous suppression and persecution, the perpetrators were unable to sway the Buddha nature and determination of these cultivators. In spite of the tribulations, the numbers that continue to practise Falun Gong with rock-solid determination continuously increase. Everyone is a particle of the Fa and no word or action should bring discredit to Falun Dafa.
Because of their rock-solid determination and their firm belief in the teachings of our kind and benevolent Teacher, they work to study the Fa well, clarify the truth, and save sentient beings. Everything that these cultivators have done is truly a reflection of their cultivating themselves well and because of that they were able to gain the respect and acceptance of the simplistic village folks in the mountains.
