Poem: This is the 'Party'

The ‘Cultural Revolution’
ten years of shame
leaving millions of lives lost
and a country lame.

From the massacre
at Tiananmen Square
a wolves’ command
from its evil lair.

Behind China’s doors
the shadows reign
flags raised to fear
too many hands bloodstained.

This is the ‘party’ and its endless lies
this is China under a ruthless disguise.

The harvesting of organs
seeds sown to despair
a means to any end
and no other crime compares.

From a rule of power
wielding every call
to an allegiance waning
with over 15 million withdrawals.
Brutality against the innocent
poisoning heart and mind
yet, this darkest hour
ever closer to its demise.

This is the ‘party’ and its ominous cries
this is China now under glorious skies.
