On Saturday, December 9th, in Myjava's Stefanik Square, a few Falun Gong practitioners put up a petition table and stands to hold an information day in support of human rights. They wanted to raise awareness about more than seven years persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Passersby stopped at the petition table and signed their name in support of human rights. A photo exhibition depicted scenes from the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP. The most common question was probably “Why is Falun Gong persecuted?” People responded positively upon learning that it was due, for the most part, to the jealousy of the communist regime. At the beginning of the persecution Falun Gong practitioners numbered more than seventy million people, more than the membership of the communist party.

“Give me more flyers, I will spread them along the way,” said one lady. Many people couldn’t believe that something like this was happening at this time and readily signed the petition. More then a hundred signatures were added to the petition during that day.
