On December 10th, International Human Rights Day, practitioners from Regensburg and surrounding cities went to a university to let the students know about Falun Gong, the seven years of persecution against the practice by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the peaceful forms of protest that practitioners have used to raise awareness about these human rights abuses.

Students in twos and threes stopped at the exhibition from time to their time to view the pictures of the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. One student was so shocked he could hardly say anything and his lip began quivering. When practitioners told him this persecution has lasted for over seven years, he said it is inconceivable that the western society is so silent about this issue. Practitioners recommended him to read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. The Chinese Communist Party has done all kinds of evil and meanwhile put on a false show of peace and prosperity; it not only deceives its own people, but also the whole world. The Nine Commentaries exposes the CCP’s evil lies and has made the CCP scared that the world’s people are awakening. The student said he would read the Nine Commentaries.
At lunch time, Falun Gong practitioners went to the entrance of the university canteen to distribute leaflets. Knowing that there was a petition signature collection to protest against the CCP’s organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, many students said that they would like to help stop the persecution. One girl even distributed the leaflets with the practitioners and patiently explained to her fellow students about the organ harvesting, which she just learned about that day.
Passing by the exhibition and finding out more, students signed the petition one after another. Some even took a petition form with them to ask others to sign it. Some students said that if practitioners hold a similar activity, they would like to be informed earlier so that they can help. Others asked how they could do more to stop the persecution, and had a long chat with practitioners.
The activity was originally planned to finish at 4:00pm, but it continued until much later because there many more students kept coming to sign the petition. Many of them were told by their fellow students who had been there earlier. They went out of their way to find the practitioners and help to make a difference.
