When it became known that Ms. Liu Jizhi remained under strict surveillance at the hospital, people expressed their deep sympathies and were concerned about Ms. Liu's lack of freedom.
Learning of this outrageous incident, an elderly lady who is a fish vendor asked for some materials containing the true facts surrounding the persecution from Falun Gong practitioners and helped them distribute the materials. She also said that she would visit Ms. Liu in the hospital.
Quite a few people went to Xituan Village, Ms. Liu's hometown, to inquire about her. When they returned to their homes, some told their neighbours and friends about what had happened to Ms. Liu. One of them said, "It looks like the days of the Communist Party are truly numbered."
