Early on the morning of January 13th, 2007, despite snow mixed with rain and slippery ground, groups representing the Finnish Service Centre for Quitting the CCP, The Epoch Times newspaper and Falun Gong came to Helsinki’s central train station. They displayed a banner to support seventeen million Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and exhibited photographs exposing the CCP’s tyranny in China, including its seven-year persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
A Finnish Christian said that she could not understand at all why the CCP would persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Jiang from the Service Center for Quitting the CCP gave her a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in English and told her that she would find the answer after reading it. She accepted it gratefully.
When practitioner Anija offered a leaflet to a Finnish passerby, he said, "I know about this. I was in China a few years ago. On Tiananmen Square I witnessed some policemen capturing Falun Gong practitioners and throwing them into police cars. It was terribly brutal."
