Singapore: Falun Dafa Practitioners Clarify the Truth at Beach Park

On February 18th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners came to Beach Park to clarify the truth to Chinese tourists as they normally did. This day was Chinese New Years day and an event, called "Spring Arrives at the Beach" was going on, therefore a lot of Singaporeans joined the tourists to pack the park.

From July 1999, Singapore Falun Gong practitioners have clarified the truth to tourists in the park (beside the mermaid statue). Due to the pressures the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) applied to the Singapore government, plus Li Guangyao and others kowtowing to the Chinese Communist Party for self-interest, the Falun Gong practitioners were harassed by the local government and even sued. In such a difficult environment, the practitioners have persisted in their truth-clarification for seven years.

In the face of threats from the government and police, including confiscation of our display boards, Falun Gong practitioners were not deterred and they continued to clarify the truth at beach park. Last July, Li Guangyao invited Li Lanqing, one of the communist leaders responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong, to Singapore. After that, local Falun Gong practitioners have been sued and taken to court four times on trumped up charges. One time, the police took away the display boards and threatened practitioners not to display any truth-clarification materials for one week, but the practitioners didn't comply with the coercion. Overseas Falun Dafa practitioners also provided a lot of support by coming to the Singapore, clarifying the truth to people on the streets, practising the exercises at beach park and promoting quitting from the Chinese Communist Party.

Some Chinese people learned the truth and said:

"I knew this already. I read it in Thailand."

"Hey, your protesting scale is too small. In Hong Kong, it is bigger."

"You've been working hard. I am from Shanghai. These materials were put at our doors. I know it already."

A man who looked like an official, said, "I have read the Nine Commentaries. It is reasonable. I will help you after I go back."

The Singapore practitioners will continue to clarify the truth and promote quitting from the Communist Party until the persecution ends.
