Belgium: Audience Moved to Tears when Listening to a Young Girl's Story at the ECO-Therapeutica Beurs in Leuven

On the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of March 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners took part in the ECO-Therapeutica Beurs in the city of Leuven in the Flemish speaking part of Belgium. Practitioners constructed a beautiful stand decorated with giant Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) characters and a couple of dozen pictures of Falun Gong practitioners peacefully appealing for the end of the persecution. A table displayed information material about the Falun Gong practice, the persecution of practitioners in China by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the harvest of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit. This event was also an opportunity to invite people to come and fold an origami lotus flower made with beautiful shiny paper as sign of hope for the child victims of the persecution in China. Many people of all ages indeed felt attracted by the beautiful flower and kept pouring into the Falun Gong stand.

A visitor, while folding a flower, looked around the stand and looked carefully at the decorations and practitioners talking actively to other visitors and said, ‘One can breath an air of relaxation and peace, the atmosphere is so serene and harmonious that it may be the strong positive energy emanating from this stand that gives that feeling’. He came back to the stand the following day.

People indeed looked relaxed while folding the flower and were very willing to listen carefully to the accounts from practitioners about the story of little Fadu and her mother who lost a father and husband, respectively, to the inhumane persecution from the Chinese Communist Government against Falun Gong practitioners in China. They also listened attentively to the allegations against the Chinese Government supporting the removal of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit. All the visitors condemned deeply all these atrocities by the Chinese Government and told us that they support us morally for our actions until we achieve the end of the persecution. Some asked what they could do and quite frequently one could see tears in their eyes. Practitioners felt quite touched by this reaction of visitors. Two ladies said that they will continue folding the flower, attach a Falun Gong message and give them to as many people as possible. They said that it was a responsibility that they felt they had to fulfil.

Practitioners also had the opportunity to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises. Some visitors felt encouraged to learn the exercises and asked for information about the practice sites. Once more, practitioners had the opportunity to come in closer contact with people, display the goodness of Falun Gong and expose the wickedness of the CCP.
