Beautiful Neuchatel is one of the most famous tourist cities in Switzerland. Practitioners of Falun Gong have held events many times before, but as no practitioner lived here there was no regular exercise class. Two months ago, an elderly practitioner from Geneva and a new practitioner from a nearby city moved to Neuchatel and set up a formal exercise class there.
On June 2nd, over twenty Swiss practitioners from other cities came to Neuchatel again and set up a stall in the city centre to inform people of the beauty of Falun Gong and to reveal the Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. They distributed leaflets, demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and answered people’s questions and achieved very good result. People not only accepted the information, they also asked to sign the petition to support practitioners and to condemn the persecution. Some people left with information material and then came back soon because they realised they had not signed the petition. They left happily after signing their name.
A mother and daughter passed by the practitioners’ stall and were deeply attracted by the three big characters on the banner ‘Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance’. So they came back with a big marker and asked practitioner to write ‘Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance’ on the daughter’s new bag.
A little girl of only five or six years old saw practitioners doing the exercises and then she ran to practitioners and learned the exercises. She remained unmoved despite the noisy sideshow not far away. She finished all the five sets of exercises quietly and her mother quietly watched her and shot some photos with the camera on her mobile phone. When the mother knew there was an exercises class every Thursday, she said she would take her daughter to the exercises class.
The weather forecast for the day said it would be a cold and rainy day, but after the event started, the weather became clearer and warmer. The kind hearted people from this city came to know the beauty of Falun Gong better.
