The Confederation of political prisoners and a “T-shirt against Communism” initiative held a rally against Communism on May 1st. The event took place in the Letna Park in Czech capital Prague and attracted thousands of visitors. While the Czechs got rid of an evil communist dictatorship in 1989, the message of the event was, “Let’s pay attention to the threats from communist regimes in China, Cuba and North Korea.”
Falun Gong practitioners were situated in the so-called “Island of no-Freedom”. Passers-by didn’t understand at first what’s going on, but after the facts about the situation in Chinese secret concentration camps were explained to them, they listened attentively and read the display banners with great interest. There were ten to twenty people around the operation table all the time. People took away prepared material and The Epoch Times’ editorial the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and many of them also signed the petition against organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Beside the Czech Falun Gong Association stall there were displays of torture methods in Chinese prisons and labour camps. One lady perceived the torture simulation as if it was real and was deeply stricken by it. She even felt sorry for the volunteer, who simulated the tortured one. She looked extremely worried while watching the display. She said, “I was also imprisoned under communist rule, but they didn’t beat me that harshly.”
A five year old girl stared at the scene aghast and couldn’t take her eyes off it. She looked on compassionately. Then her mother took her away saying, “It’s not real.” One middle-aged man asked for a Falun Gong flyer with words, “Give me the flyer. The persecution of Falun Gong is the cruelest thing I know about.”
Hundreds of people signed the petition calling for the rescue of the Falun Gong practitioners in China.
