Chinese Citizens Call for Leaders Hu And Wen to Judge the Time, Size Up the Situation and Make the Right Decision as Soon as Possible

We are common Chinese citizens. Among our acquaintances and family members are many Falun Gong practitioners. We know them well, including their daily conduct and we know about the brutal persecution to which they are subjected. We are the best observers and witnesses of Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion -Forbearance, to become good people. They are not at all what the government and media have described them to be. On the contrary - their conduct is guided by the principles of their cultivation practice: Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They do not bow to corruption but treat others honestly. They do not fight back when struck or insulted, and they're humble and tolerant and consider others first when taking any action. They strive to be good people under any circumstances and constantly raise their xinxing (heart nature) to become even better. In today's China, with the sunken moral standards, people harm each other and will do all kinds of evil things to each other, but Falun Gong practitioners are truly outstanding human beings. Every person who understands Falun Gong will show them empathy and condemn the regime's atrocities.

Falun Gong has been subjected to the persecution for eight years now. We do not know how many practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor, or have been detained, tortured and murdered. But just in the area where we live, more than 100 Falun Gong practitioner were sentenced to forced labor, and three of them died as a result of torture during detention. Two of them died at home a few days after they were released, and one died inside the labor camp. We have learned that the situation is the same in other areas, even in the entire country. We have heard a police officer who came to arrest Falun Gong practitioners saying, "There is no law protecting Falun Gong. They deserve it if they're killed."

We then thought, "Chairman Hu and Prime Minister Wen have repeatedly emphasized establishing a society based on a legal system and even declared that we are already a society based on a system of law." But, confronted with the facts, we have been shocked and disappointed again and again. Chairman Hu and Prime Minister Wen, you have been in power for several years now, but the lawless persecution that confuses good and evil, this money-consuming and resource-squandering persecution, has not abated, but has actually accelerated and become increasingly vicious. We are truly distressed.

Everyone knows that the culprits who launched this unprecedented ruthless persecution was the Jiang-Luo group. In the people's opinion, Chairman Hu and Prime Minister Wen have done some positive things for the people and for that the people praise you. But we honestly do not understand why, as high-ranking and powerful as you are, you are willing to assume the guilt and become accomplices to the murderers. We had assumed that this was absolutely impossible. Why would you ever be willing to carry the guilt of a blood debt, unless you were supporters and participants in this barbaric persecution - something we refuse to believe.

As a matter of fact, many common folks as well as officials know about Falun Gong. They understand that Falun Gong is wrongfully persecuted, and that the government's indictments of Falun Gong are all fabricated. We have read the three open letters that Mr. Gao Zhisheng has written to you, and have read the "Bloody Harvest" investigation report into the government's illegal organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. Our hearts, minds and souls were so profoundly shocked that we find it difficult to bear. Based on our knowledge of the suffering of the Falun Gong practitioners with whom we are acquainted, we believe without a doubt, as stated in the investigation report, that the organ harvesting is "a new form of evil on this planet never before seen." With the gradual exposure of the atrocities in China, we believe that when the majority of people have come to know about these unprecedented immense crimes, the evildoing political power and forces will become extinct amid the roar of people from China and around the world. That day is just around the corner.

We are proud of China hosting the Olympic Games, but we are more shamed by the humanity-shaking crimes happening in China right now. We do not know how many people will be wrongfully persecuted, imprisoned and even killed under the guise of ensuring the security of the Olympic Games, and what kind of red terror the Falun Gong group, who have already been suffering the most chilling persecution, will face.

Any Chinese person with a conscience will not be unmoved after learning that tens of thousands of our country's innocent citizens are being tortured to death or being cremated after their vital organs are extracted while they are still alive. We are gratified to see those upright groups and brave heroes standing up courageously and saying "No" to the ruthless persecution. The formidable calls from both inside and outside of this nation are igniting a holy flame that is inextinguishable and is driving the darkness away like a prairie wild fire. History will severely punish and eliminate any persons or forces from the face of this Earth that attempt to stop this righteous conflagration!

Recently, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China, as well as some of the world's prominent people led by the Hon. David Kilgour, former Member of Parliament of Canada, former Canadian Secretary of State, Asia-Pacific, wrote to you proposing a timetable to end the persecution, expressing the aspirations of countless people. Today we represent the Chinese people of conscience and call on you once again, most sincerely and strongly, to end this disaster that has harmed almost every Chinese individual.

We sincerely anticipate that you, Chairman Hu and Prime Minister Wen, will make the correct decision at this important historic juncture, one that will go down in history and win the people's praise. It is a matter of obvious right and wrong for the country and the people, and it also has a profound affect on your own bright future and destiny!
