Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in Independence Day Parade

On July 4th, 2007, Saipan Falun Gong practitioners participated in the annual US Independence Day parade [Editors note: The events took place on the Northern Mariana Islands that are US territory] to share the serenity and beauty of the practice. This is the sixth consecutive year that the practitioners have joined in this grand local event.

The practitioners presented a waist drum performance and a heavenly maidens dance, and displayed Falun Dafa banners. While the practitioners performed to a recording of the song "Falun Dafa is Good," many spectators also sang along.

After the parade concluded, the practitioners continued to clarify the facts about the persecution of Falun Dafa. They told many tourists what Falun Gong is, how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes the practice, and that more than 23 million Chinese people have publicly denounced the Party. After learning the truth, four Chinese tourists decided to quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations.
